RAI Reimagined: Plans for the transformation of the RAI terrain by students of the Yale School of Architecture
PROVADA BV
In this Edward E.Bass development studio, 10 graduating master students were assigned the task to develop a Masterplan and architectural designs for the transformation of the RAI terrain by adding substantial new program, while preserving the convention center function at this prime location.
Next to intensifying the site’s use, their Masterplans must reconnect the RAI better to the surrounding neighborhood and reduce the adverse effects of logistics and its ecological footprint.
The plans will be presented by students and faculty during this session. Afterward, RAI’s CEO Paul Riemens and Zuidas supervisor Paco Bunnik, who were invited as jury members to Yale for this advanced studio, will briefly react to the students plans.
